Tungsten rings, including this one, will never rust. They do not tarnish either, however, when exposed to long periods of harsh chemicals, the chemicals can etch the metal causing a "dullness". Chlorine in pools can do this, but it would take hours of exposure to chlorine. I have seen some tungsten rings become dull, so it is possible.
Tungsten is scratch resistant - but not scratch proof. In normal wear, it probably will not scratch. However, even though tungsten is hard, it is also brittle. (Diamonds are incredibly hard and also brittle, as well.) So if you hit the ring with a hammer, or drop it from a ladder unto a concrete surface, it could crack. Triton the manufacturer does cover breakage if this happens - as long as they continue to make the ring.
I hope this information helps you, and others!
